Glad it works okay for you OP, nothing wrong with that. I've used sleeping bags in various states of zip/unzip in hammock, and they're fine for the most part. I love, LOVE my top quilts though.

It's my own brain limitation I'm sure, but I can't wrap my head around why you need to punch holes in your tarp for your hammock suspension to go through. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the tarp?
